Medford, NJ – Voted Best Town To Live in South Jersey 2012

The results are in for the 2012 best towns to live in South Jersey, and the winner is…. Medford, New Jersey!

According to South Jersey Magazine, “Medford is known as a community that’s close to everything yet far from it all: the city and Shore are both within a 45-minute drive, yet the neighborhoods nestled in the Pine Barrens give residents a quiet break. With a competitive school system and sports programs, sprawling parks and even a canoe trail, Medford is often ranked as one of the best towns in the region to raise a family.”

In Medford, residents have plenty to enjoy.  Medford is a nice town that is just outside Philadelphia with about a 35 minute commute. Part of Medford’s charm is how it is tucked away offering lots of privacy.  Home to many camps, lakes, and shopping, Medford is one of the more exclusive communities for many families relocating to the area.  In addition to all of this, Medford is one of the top school districts in the area, Lenape Regional District.  This blue ribbon school district is notorious for its academics, sports and overall community involvement.

The average home price in Medford is just over $200,000 and the average taxes per year are just under $9,000.  For families considering moving to Medford, there are quite a few options for housing in many great communities.  For a list of all that is currently on the market, feel free to visit our list of Medford Homes For Sale.
